When is it time for Transformation?

The time for change is when you are good and ready, like the ole saying you can take a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink, this is what change is. You know you need to change but just cannot bring yourself to take that first step. Trust me I have been that horse sitting at the water not drinking and refusing any encouragement to do so.
Then one day you will wake up and everything falls into place for you and the change occurs. This may happen when you have gone as far down as you can or it could simply be a change of circumstance that has made you take a hard look at your life. Often change occurs by force. Maybe your health, wealth or happiness have been affected. I wrote Transform your Psyche, your journal to self-discovery over five years ago when I was going through a lot of changes but refused to deal with them. This book has evolved into a programme which is delivered through workshops and readings. It is natural to protect yourself, ignore what is in front of you, but you can only do this for a limited time before the harm occurs. Acknowledging the lack of control, I learnt, is a vital part of recovering. I soon learnt that we go in cycles and that our timeline has an effect on us as we progress, hopefully, through our life. Awareness of that life cycle is vital to healing. Once you acknowledge your past, understand it, the transformation occurs. Sounds simply right! It isn’t but trust me when I say if you have the tools while you are lead to the water, whether you drink it or not. One day you will find yourself naturally going to the water and watch the transformation occur! – Step 1 to transformation. Be gentle on yourself and do not beat yourself up if you fail. As every other step that follows is simply a whole new day to try again. Have a read of my book Transform your Psyche your journal to self-discovery and rediscover the transformation- Brigid.
